Man arrested over stabbing of young boy in Sydney

A five-year-old boy has been stabbed during a domestic dispute at Carlingford, in Sydney's north-west, police said.

The child and his grandmother left the scene and went to nearby Mosley Street to raise the alarm.

Officers said the child suffered serious stab wounds.

He was taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Police said a man, who is known to the child, has been arrested.
