Mark September 12 on your calendars: that's when the new iPhones will be launched.
Apple has sent out its invitation to its traditional September launch event, which will once again be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in its sprawling Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
The invite, received by Khaleej Times, was, as usual, minimal in detail: "Gather round" was written on it, with a huge gold circle above it - a reference to the shape of the venue.
It has been reported that the tech giant will be launching three new iPhones: a 5.8-inch follow-up to last years iPhone X, an entry-level six-incher and a top-of-the-line 6.5-inch iteration.
The names of the new devices are unclear; names from 'iPhone X Plus' to 'iPhone 11' and even 'iPhone 9' have been floated. There are also reports Apple might be considering an 'S' cycle this year.
With mock-ups showing a full-screen display on all three purported units, it is all but certain that FaceID will be implemented across all of them - meaning the end of TouchID, Apple's fingerprint system on the iPhone's home button.
Prices for the new devices are also unclear at this point.
Media outlets have also flaunted talk about one of the new iPhones having three rear cameras, similar to what Huawei did with its newest flagship, the P20 Pro - though this is believed to be a remote possibility.
Apple does not comment on rumours or speculation.
