Before it was cancelled this week, US sitcom Roseanne was enjoying success as one of many shows and movies recently resuscitated for the small screen(s).

Roseanne's critical reviews and audience scores on the Rotten Tomatoes website were generally positive, but some reboots had viewers wondering why anyone bothered.

One of those was The Odd Couple, starring Matthew Perry, which lasted three seasons despite failing with critics and the audience.

Fuller House has the biggest gap between pro and amateur couch potatoes, at 40 points.

But the new Queer Eye gets the thumbs up overall, as does Cobra Kai — a TV version of 1980s cult classic Karate Kid.
